Queen of Her Own Illusion
Episodes
Plot Summary
Real estate magnate Theodore Tate's return to the sleepy town of Havenwood is a reluctant obligation, a world away from his metropolitan empire.
There, he encounters Dahlia Denton, a brilliant girl from the wrong side of the tracks, fiercely battling her family for a chance at a college education. At his mother's behest, Theodore anonymously funds Dahlia's tuition, viewing it as a simple act of charity.
For Dahlia, however, this life-altering gift is misinterpreted as a profound, secret courtship. Convinced she is destined to be his wife, her ambition curdles into an audacious sense of entitlement. She begins to carry herself as the future Tate matriarch, alienating those around her with her presumptuous attitude. Her carefully constructed fantasy shatters when Theodore publicly announces his engagement to a high-society peer. The devastating reveal forces Dahlia to confront her delusion, but by then, her arrogance has burned every bridge, leaving her utterly alone.
